The baby & toddler room caters for children from birth up to 2 years old. The room can be divided into two sections, when both small babies and older toddlers are attending at the same time. There is a separate cot room for children to sleep as well as a cosy corner for relaxing. All areas of development are encouraged through various activities and play equipment.

 

The day is divided between group activities (such as painting, story time, singing, outdoor play) and free play, encouraging children to interact and develop social skills in line with the EYFS. Each child’s activities are recorded in their daily diary along with food and nappy changing information. Each child has a key worker and the staff in this room work closely with the parents to ensure routines are followed as they would be at home.
